AFC Richmond and its players will be playable in the game’s Career Mode, Kickoff mode as well as Online Friendlies and Online Seasons.
FIFA23 will also feature a number of the team items, which players can unlock as they go, and AFC Richmond’s home stadium.
In a statement from EA SPORTS, actor Jason Sudeikis said he’s been a long time fan of the franchise and considers this one of the more special moments in his career.
“Having Ted Lasso and the whole AFC Richmond squad incorporated into the newest version of the game is truly a dream come true for myself and the rest of the fellas,” Sudeikis said.
“Our cast and crew work tremendously hard on this show, and we are flattered that it resonates with so many folks,” Sudeikis says they all look forward to seeing the fan reaction to the game.
