Microsoft will forcefully update computers running Windows 10 21H2 to 22H2.

Microsoft has reminded users about the upcoming end of support for Windows 10 21H2, which was released in October 2021. According to the company, the final security update for this version of the operating system will be released on June 13, 2023. Users currently on Windows 10 21H2 will automatically transition to Windows 10 22H2 once the update becomes available.

It is worth noting that Windows 10 has a feature called “Active Hours” that allows users to schedule system updates during periods of inactivity.

Furthermore, Windows 10 22H2 will be the last major feature update for Windows 10. After October 14, 2025, Microsoft will only release security updates for this version of the operating system.
