Microsoft unveils fresh Halo Infinite look, release date revealed

Microsoft has unveiled a series of new images and details for its upcoming flagship Halo title.
For a game that was initially scheduled to launch alongside the release of the Xbox Series X|S, there’s still plenty of hype and anticipation surrounding the release. 
After what’s been described as a catastrophic failure of a game demo, Microsoft say they’re now feeling positive about the impending release of Halo Infinite.

“We know the community has been eager to hear about, and see, the improvements and progress the team has made since July,” writes Brian Jarred, Community Director at 343 Industries. 
Gameplay was revealed back in July to much backlash from the Halo community, one of the characters even becoming a meme nicknamed “Craig the Brute”.

Halo Infinite is now scheduled for release sometime between September and November 2021.

“The primary goal for the Campaign demo in July was showing Halo Infinite gameplay for the first time,” writes Infinite’s Art Director Neill Harrison.
“While that aspect generally landed as we wanted, the reality is that the art and visuals weren’t at the bar we hold for Halo – even in a work-in-progress state.”
Harrison goes on to say the community feedback is a huge motivator, “We are working tirelessly to deliver the best possible Halo experience to you all”.
Halo Infinite is now scheduled for release sometime between September and November 2021.
