PlayStation 5 launches in Australia and you can still get one before Christmas

The PlayStation 5 has officially launched in Australia, and if you missed out on pre-ordering you may still have a chance at picking up a console before Christmas.
It’s arguably the most anticipated console of the year; boasting an 825GB custom SSD, futuristic design, new DualSense controller and 4K visuals, the PlayStation 5 is promising a true next-gen experience.

Thousands across the country will today be picking up their brand new PlayStation 5 consoles.
If you missed out in the initial pre order stage, you may have luck on your side. Harvey Norman, JB HIFI, and BigW are all offering further online orders for the new console tomorrow.
Harvey Norman claim if you pre-order online this morning you could be set to receive your console by December 15. But note, all of these extra preorders are online only. It’s very unlikely you’ll be able to walk into a retail store and pick one up over the next few weeks.
Harvey Norman’s website states: “Consoles will not be available for in-store purchase tomorrow”.
Amazon have also announced PlayStation 5 orders are coming back online, yet the delivery date is unclear. An email was sent on Wednesday to Amazon Prime Members who signed up to receive alerts regarding the console.
